Gangabal Trek Kashmir
The Gangabal Lake is also famous by the term Harmukh Ganga. It is a peak lake placed at a height of 3570 m. It is sited on the peak of Harmukh peak ranges. The Gangabal Lake is one of the starting places of the Jhelum River. An annual pale is held here throughout the 3rd week of August. It is observed as a holy lay by Kashmiri Hindus. Gangabal Lake is a favorite point for rainbow trout fishing. The lake can be reached from Sonamarg via Krishnasar and Vishansar. Get to there after a pleasant trek via beautiful environment. July to October is the Sonamarg Trekking season. The fishing season start from March to October.
Gangabal Trek Kashmir
Starting and finishing points of the trek to Gangabal (3,570 m) is Srinagar. Gangabal trek takes about 8 days to complete. The trek is start from Srinagar. This trek covers Sonmarg, Nichinai, Krishansar and Dubta Pani. Then one finally get to the perfect Gangabal Lake.

Gangabal Lake Trek Sonamarg
Day 01: Arrival Srinagar (1585m)
You will be met on your arrival by our manager. He moves to the houseboat. In the houseboat, your trek head will grant you the pre-leaving update. There is a small afternoon Shikhara ride of Dal/Nigeen Lake. Stay Overnight at houseboat.
Day 02: Srinagar – Sonamarg (2723m) – 4 hours. 84 Km
We drive to the highland of Sonamarg via the scenic Sindh valley, beside the Sindh River. Sonamarg is known as the ‘meadow of Gold’. As it is said the water upon the dale has magic prosperity bring to mind possessions. Then we take a side walk to Thajwas glacier, after lunch. Stay in tents.
Day 03: Sonmarg – Nichinai (3620m) – 4 to 5 hours – 13 Km
A small dive by the near pine forest fetches us to a brace bridge over the Sindh River. From here we climb sharply to Shkoder. There is a great vantage point out sight the glacier and the Sindh valley. Overnight camp at Nichinai.
Day 04: Nichinai – Krishansar (3680m) – 4 to 5 hours – 15 Km
Our trek starts with a climb to Nichinai Pass (4084m) to take pleasure in the stunning peak sight. We then go down through flower covered field towards Vishansar and Krishansar lakes. We cross a small stream to get to our camp at Vishansar Lake. At this place we will stay for two nights.
Day 05: Krishansar – Dubta Pani (3280m) – 4 to 5 hours – 16 Km
Our Gangabal Lake Trek start with a sharp slope near Gadsar pass. This bid an incredible vision of the Karakorum Mountain. Take a steady dive next to curve and past Gadsar Lake. It will take us to our overnight camp next to a stream.
Day 06: Dubta Pani – Gangabal Lakes (3570m) – 7 to 8 hours – 19 Kms
We climb slowly to Postpatri for another stunning vision of the Karakoram Mountains. It is also known as valley of flowers. As soon as we arrive at the saddle at Mangandub, we climb sharply to Zagibal peak (4210m). The climb is tiring. But well appeals the attempt as we are satisfied with unrivalled look of the Gangabal lakes and Hurmukh peak. Long zig zag drops take us to the brook cross. This is track by a short climb to two night camp at Gangabal lakes.
Day 07: Gangabal Lake (3570m). Rest Day
Today is a hard-earned rest day. You can get pleasure from a beautiful walk just about the lake. Rainbow trout fishing or if you have a bit more power, then ahead to Lul Gul pass for an awesome view of Nangapabath.
Day 08: Gangabal Lake – Srinagar (1585m) – 1 hour drive
After a relaxed breakfast, our track directs us past the two small town of Nunkol and Trunkol. This spot trail by a sheer fall to a nice thick pine forest to Naranag. Here we observe a Buddhist monastery. It is the place where the 3rd world conference of Buddhists was held. This will be final spot of Gangabal Trek Kashmir. We will be move by a car to a houseboat for our overnight stay.
Day 09: Depart Srinagar
You will be dropped to the airport for further journey.
